The technology has been successfully implemented in an article presented for the first time at Lineapelle 2025 by the Italian tannery Maryam, which created a jacket using leathers treated with products developed by Riverchimica, a company specializing in chemical auxiliaries for tanning, integrating BeDimensional’s hexagonal boron nitride.
Technology that transforms leather
B-LEAF is an ultra-thin crystal, similar to graphene, with exceptional thermal and mechanical properties that can be directly integrated into the wet-end and finishing stages of the tanning process.
Independent laboratory tests have demonstrated that integrating this material significantly improves the leather’s ability to resist mechanical stress and dissipate heat. In detail:
