Leeds (UK), 13th April 2026 – To coincide with Earth Day 2026, leading sustainability consultancy Tunley Environmental is hosting a free CPD-certified webinar titled “Climate Risk Assessments and Resilience Planning for Business”, designed to help organisations move from climate awareness to meaningful, strategic action.
Earth Day, observed globally on 22nd April, serves as a global reminder of the urgent need to address climate change. However, for many organisations, the challenge lies in understanding how climate risk translates into real business impacts. From extreme weather events disrupting operations to evolving regulations and investor expectations, climate risk is rapidly becoming a core strategic concern.
Frameworks such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) continue to shape corporate reporting and risk management, increasing the need for organisations to demonstrate how they are identifying, assessing and mitigating climate-related risks.
This webinar will explore how businesses can take a structured, data-driven approach to climate risk, embedding it into decision-making processes and long-term strategy. It will cover:
- What a climate risk assessment and resilience plan are, and how they support better business decision-making
- What the main climate risks are and how they might affect your business
- How resilience plans can reduce the impact of climate risks to your business
- The key global frameworks and standards shaping climate risk assessments, including CSRD, TCFD and SECR
- Why climate risk and resilience planning are becoming critical services for organisations and which sectors are most impacted
- An overview of Tunley’s climate risk and resilience services and the typical process involved
- Insights from a real-world case study and how climate risk assessment supported their resilience planning
The webinar will also include an interactive Q&A session with Tunley Environmental’s sustainability experts.
Commenting on the webinar, Dr Tara Garraty, Senior Scientist and Biodiversity Lead at Tunley Environmental and one of the key speakers for the webinar, said: “Organisations need to understand not just where they are exposed to climate risks, but how those risks could disrupt operations, supply chains and long-term growth. This webinar is about helping businesses take that next step through structured, science-based resilience planning”.
Attendance is free, but advance registration is required.
