As a child in Siberia, Russia, Oksana could not have ever imagined how far life would take her. And what it had in store for her. Oksana’s journey has been exciting and intriguing. It is driven by a passion for music, education, and children.

Her Far-Fetching Journey

Oksana emigrated with her family to the US in her late teens, during the fall of the Soviet Union. While in the US, she pursued her interests and training in piano and graduated from Florida State University with a Music Degree.

While still attending the University, she met her husband Alex who became her music manager. After graduation, she became a touring and recording artist, performing not only in the US but also abroad. She flourished her dreams and had an exciting 10-year performing career, and then, in 2009, she became a mother to a baby boy, Alessandro.

After becoming a mom, she channelled her knowledge, experience, and passion in building her three businesses:

Diversification: The Need of the Hour

Oksana believes that diversification is important in business. Only if one can figure out how to appeal to one’s target market correctly. When she started her mother company Oksana Management Group in 2010, she was only offering piano classes. However, later, she observed that the parents of her students were asking for teacher referrals to teach her students’ siblings other instruments, such as guitar or singing.

This made her quickly realize that the same client can sign up for additional services if she were to offer them. She promptly started hiring skilled instructors, who specialized and taught different instruments. Years later, she branched out to other areas and added more services such as a foreign language, academic tutoring, art, acting, chess, animation, financial literacy for children and teens, and many other programs that regular schools don’t offer.

Now, the brand works not only with their private clients, but also with the charter, private, public schools, districts, municipalities, and entire counties.

The company’s diversification is majorly useful to its franchisees as well, since it offers a plethora of programs, and that expands market share as well as positions the company well above their competitors.

A Path-breaking Accomplishment

Without a doubt, it’s opening the 501c3 non-profit foundation. For decades, Oksana had the dream of having her foundation and giving back to the community. Ever since she has been a performing artist for many years, she played for numerous charitable, non-profit, and fundraising events, and always wished to someday own her foundation.

Well, the time came when we found ourselves in the unprecedented times of the 2020 pandemic. That’s when Oksana Foundation was born, and its mission is to provide free-of-charge quality educational opportunities to impoverished youth.

Oksana states, we have been very good at assembling the right team and fortunate to work with amazing people. The right team is what makes a company successful. I’m so grateful to each and every person who took – and takes – a part in one way or another with my companies’ endeavors.

Entrepreneurship is a journey with two sides to the coin. Success and Failures are a part of this impeccable journey. As an entrepreneur, Oksana has had her fair share of failures in life.

Some of them are too personal or too painful to reminisce on, but I must admit that they made me much stronger, more compassionate, and resilient as an individual. They made me the person I am today. In retrospect, I won’t change anything, as they have been my best teachers in life.

With a positive attitude towards failures, Oksana has outgrown them. She is a fierce woman; who has discovered her courageous self and risen from all the crisis.

It is currently offering its franchise in 35 states. It looks forward to spreading its wings and helping children across the globe.
