Meet Yohanes Arts Abimanyu, the President Director, and CEO of PEFINDO IdScore Credit Bureau, a premier credit information management institution in Indonesia. Abimanyu, also known as Abi, embarked on his professional journey as an Auditor at the prestigious public accounting firm Prasetio-Utomo & Co. He subsequently transitioned to PT Bursa Efek Indonesia, formerly known as PT Bursa Efek Jakarta, where he held several positions, showcasing his adaptability and versatility. Over the next 16 years, he rose through the ranks to become the Vice President- Head of the Finance Division.
In 2013, Abi took on a new challenge as the Director of PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (PEFINDO) and played a huge role in finance, accounting, human resources, and compliance. Eventually, in 2016, Abi became the Director of PT PEFINDO Biro Kredit in 2016. This role involved managing credit bureau operations and providing credit data-related services to financial institutions and debtors. After serving as a Director at PT PEFINDO Biro Kredit from 2016 to 2017, Abi assumed the position of President Director in 2017 and has continued in that role until now. As the President Director, Abi holds the highest executive position within the company and is responsible for its overall management and strategic direction.
About IdScore
The Bank of Indonesia initiated the inception of credit bureaus in Indonesia by issuing Regulation No. 15/1/PBI/2013 in February 2013. Subsequently, PEFINDO, a renowned rating agency, proactively established a private credit bureau in the country.
Later, in 2019, the company introduced the brand “IdScore” as the distinctive identity for its credit bureau product. The name “Id” carries the meanings of debtor information, identity, and Indonesia, while “Score” conveys the concept of ranking or achievement.

However, the most crucial milestone that Abi is proud to achieve was achieving profitability in 2019, surpassing the projections made by an independent consultant. Not only did IdScore become profitable ahead of schedule, but it also exceeded the consultant’s projected figure, which initially estimated a three-year timeline for the accomplishment.
