Vince founded 4LegalLeads in 2001 with the mission of helping law firms and law professionals achieve their business goals through strategic and data-driven digital marketing. Under Vince’s leadership, 4LegalLeads has proliferated and gained a reputation as a leading provider of digital marketing solutions for the legal industry. The company has worked with hundreds of law firms across the United States and has helped its clients generate millions of dollars in new business through online advertising and lead generation.
We recently got to sit down with Vince Wingerter, where he shared how 4LeagalLeads is helping law firms and practitioners grow their practices through online advertisement and lead generation.

Q) Please tell me your story. Or How did you get your start?
I began digital marketing in the late 1990s when the main advertising platforms were GoTo.com, which would later be Overture.com which would eventually be acquired by Yahoo Search Marketing. This was before Google Adwords came into existence. So over the last 25 years, I’ve watched amazing shifts in online advertising as it transitioned to mobile and the integration of AI touchpoints.
Q) What led to the inception of 4LegalLeads? And how is it serving its clients?
Around 2010, we built out the 4LegalLeads.com property to connect directly with retail and legal professionals across the United States. We now have far surpassed over 10,000 retail self-created accounts in 4LegalLeads.com for law firms all across the United States in over 40 areas of practice. We connect tens of thousands of prospective clients, all inbound, per week to law firms across the United States. Originally we started as a lead company, but now connect calls to law firms as well.
Q) What distinguishes 4LegalLeads from its competitors?
No long-term contracts. You choose how much to fund. We aren’t interested in one-offs. We want your business long-term and for you to expand and grow the relationship. We offer pro-rated refunds of the balance in your account and the ability to return leads that do not meet the area of practice criteria. We can connect to any system with an open API and are partners with CLIO, Filevine, and the ABA.
Q) What are your thoughts on diversity and inclusion in the workplace?
Over two-thirds of 4LegalLeads employees are female. We welcome diversity as we are trying to close the justice gap for people of all backgrounds, and the company should reflect this.
Q) How do you motivate creativity and innovation in the workspace while maintaining a healthy work environment?
We offer extreme flexibility for our employees and hire based on team dynamics and synergy with culture rather than hiring those looking good on paper who simply have the right ivy league credentials.
Q) What are your primary challenges in this ever-changing Legal industry?
We are leaders in the lead and call generation for law firms across the United States. Yet, the market is so untapped that we still are a long way from my personal goal and dream of having a lawyer available in every zip code across the United States for every prospective consumer at the moment they need it in every practice area.
Q) What does success look like for you?
We have so many advanced technologies we’ve custom developed to route leads and phone calls so that those seeking legal help can find an attorney and not go unserved. Success for us is when we facilitate this without wasting the time of not only the law firm but the prospective client as well.
Q) What are your plans for 2023 and beyond?
We are doing exciting things with ping/post-call technology, pre-qualifying calls, reducing friction for consumers as well as law firms, and continuing our mission of 100% attribution with full-circle disposition reports back to marketing campaigns. However, we are also A/B testing chat and other call technologies to increase call volumes in significant ways.
Q) What is your advice to budding and aspiring entrepreneurs?
The spirit of an entrepreneur is not daunted by what the outcome of success looks like and the obstacles before them. An entrepreneur sees the path forward in a sequence of bottlenecks that must each be tackled to take things to the next level. Identifying those bottlenecks holding you back, solving them, and moving forward, is the key to growth. If that excites you, you are an entrepreneur.
