TRG Datacenter Review: Is it Worth it in 2025?

admin by admin

It’s common to need to work with a colocation provider and data center when you’re growing your business. Even as a startup, you could need the extra help. While there are plenty of options out there, some could stand out a whole lot more than others.

TRG Datacenter is one of the more notable of these. It claims to be one of the best options on the market, but does it actually live up to the hype?

Not all companies live up to their marketing and sales claims, after all. Let’s dive into a TRG Datacenter review to see what’s what, and whether they’re worth it for a company to work with. It’s often better safe than to be sorry, after all.

What is TRG Datacenter?

TRG Datacenter operates purpose-built data centers in Houston and several other locations, with its services focusing on helping small businesses who need specific IT services. It specializes in taking a predictable, transparent approach when working with clients.

Its sites have been built from the ground up to be as resilient as possible, with the company boasting its sites are disaster-resistant. The company primarily offers colocation services, though it has multiple adjacent services, too.

TRG has quickly become known for beyond just its services, however. It’s also been brought up because of its client support, professionalism, and more than a few other areas.

Key Services

TRG offers a lot more than just empty racks for clients to use. It offers quite an extensive portfolio of services, with many of these being quite appealing. Some of the more notable of these are:

  1. Standard Colocation
  2. Managed Colocation
  3. Free Remote Hands
  4. Cross-Connects at No Cost
  5. Compliance Support

These can all make the company more and more appealing, with plenty of TRG Datacenter reviews highlighting how high-quality these services are.

Comprehensive TRG Datacenter Review: Diving a Little Deeper

With the essentials out of the way, it’s worth diving into a more comprehensive TRG Datacenter review. The company stands out in more than a few ways, with clients seeing benefits in multiple areas. Let’s break these down into some of the more important areas.

Uptime Record

Downtime with your IT network could cost you thousands if it’s not proactively addressed and managed. The less downtime here, the better. This is one of the main areas where TRG stands out, as its management team boasts 100% uptime for over 20 years.

This is noticeably better than many of its alternatives, many of which don’t even come close. With how much of an impact this can have on your overall operations, there’s no reason why this shouldn’t be a noticeable benefit.

The way TRG designs and builds its data centers is at the core of this, with the sites being built from scratch to deal with anything. It’s close to impossible for any downtime to pop up.

Pricing

Pricing is one of the more notable areas companies will focus on when working with third parties. It’s easy to see why, as you could be working under a relatively tight IT network. It’s why many would be wary of outsourcing such a large area in the first place.

But, this doesn’t seem to be much of an issue with TRG Datacenter. While multiple options are more affordable, more than a few others are much more expensive. TRG’s one of the slightly costly options, but it’s more than worth the price tag.

The services it offers, uptime reports, and similar benefits, you’re getting quite a bit of value for money here. With less pricey options, you tend to get what you pay for, making it worth paying that little bit extra to go for an option that actually works.

Client Support

Nobody likes to feel like their company is being put on the backburner by their third party providers. They want a certain amount of responsiveness and support from these suppliers, especially when it comes to anything IT-related.

This is a notable area where TRG Datacenter excels. It takes a much more hands-on and personalized approach to interacting with and supporting their clients. They’re more proactive than many of their competitors, making them even more appealing.

The company feels a lot more like a partner because of that. Add in the fast migrations and how quickly they address any issues that come up, and TRG is one of the standouts when it comes to client support.

TRG Datacenter Use Cases: When Does it Stand Out?

TRG Datacenter could be an appropriate choice for more than a few companies. But, that doesn’t mean it’s a great option for everyone. Instead, it’s more of a solid option for businesses in specific circumstances.

Some of the more notable TRG’s best use cases include:

  1. Texas-based companies, particularly those around Houston.
  2. Businesses with high-density workloads.
  3. Industries with a lot of regulations, such as healthcare.
  4. Small businesses looking for a predictable and transparent partner.
  5. Companies needing a more hands-on approach.

Businesses that meet these criteria should do well working with the company, and plenty of TRG Datacenter reviews highlight that. That’s not to say it wouldn’t help other firms; the company just seems best-suited to the above.

It might be a less ideal option for global-focused companies that want a more worldwide approach. TRG doesn’t seem to have the infrastructure needed to support these kinds of firms, and it also mightn’t be the best pick for any SaaS-focused enterprises.

Lasting Words

Plenty of TRG Datacenter reviews highlight its client support, extensive uptime record, and more than a few other areas. The company is definitely a standout among its competitors. Given how vital these areas can be, it’s easy to see why the company’s worth considering.

TRG offers:

  • Extensive client support.
  • More uptime than many competitors
  • An easy to understand service

With those in mind, it can be one of the better colocation providers to go for. It has its drawbacks, but these aren’t anything too major. The benefits more than outweigh them, and there’s no reason why your company shouldn’t benefit from partnering with them.
