Quantera Global was founded as a fully independent company, which helped to focus on what really matters to its customers and colleagues. A strong organization has been built that can offer everything an MNE needs in its field of expertise. This can range from strategic support in deciding on the optimal business model, the related optimal transfer price policy, strategic risk management, valuations, all relevant transfer pricing documentation, and alignment with tax authorities in various forms.
Additionally, Quantera Global, with its spin-off Coperitas, has developed a software solution that supports Quantera Global and its clients in complying with regulations and remaining in control.
In its day-to-day transfer pricing work, Quantera Global supports MNEs, SMEs, and even government organizations. Furthermore, the company works closely with audit, legal, and tax firms which enables them to support their clients in the best way possible in respect of transfer pricing by using the company’s specific expertise.
The Steadfast Leader
Currently, the organization is being led by four managing directors, including Theo Elshof. Before founding Quantera Global, Theo served as an International Transfer Pricing Director for a Big Four firm in Rotterdam and as the Head of Tax and Control for two stock-listed MNOs. Theo also worked for the Dutch Tax authorities for 6 years as the head of the APA team and member of the Transfer Pricing Group. As such he gained experience in the fields of international tax, transfer pricing, management & control, APAs, Mutual Agreement Procedures, and Tax Audits.
Additionally, Theo is a member and teacher at the Dutch Association of Tax Lawyers and has studied at the Universities of Tilburg, Maastricht, and Nyenrode. Furthermore, he is a passionate and regular speaker in his field. Lastly, Theo is also a certified coach and supports his colleagues and clients to help them optimally.
A Fiercely Competitive Market
Most of Theo’s clients are the larger MNEs. With most of the clients, Theo has a long-term relationship, which varies from being a coach to supporting them with Quantera Global’s potential services.
When it comes to challenges, Theo thinks today’s challenges are not that different from his early days. The main challenges are that you have to be passionate about your work with the ambition to be the best (that you can be). Theo thinks there are many more opportunities and that there is some pressure nowadays to make the right choice. He always chose the opportunities where he could learn the most and develop himself.
Notable Milestones
A notable milestone in Theo’s career came when he worked as an inhouse-advisor for an MNE. The company’s performance and the fact that his position was upgraded to report to Board level made him proud. Another milestone came in 2013 when he founded Quantera Global with his business partners.
Future Roadmap
Theo and his entire team aim to be the best choice as a firm. The organization expands through quality, innovation, and development of its colleagues and clients.
Quantera Global is expanding very quickly by constantly working on the quality of its global coverage but the most of all by attracting and retaining talented colleagues. All this leads to a healthy growth of Quantera Global.

When we asked Theo to provide a few suggestions for future entrepreneurs he says, “First, take the time to define for yourself and your company why exactly you are starting your own company.” He also adds, “What is the story you want to tell, and what is your DNA? This will help you to find your clients and attract the kind of people you want to work for and with.”
