Meet Sandra James, CEO of Private Eyes Screening Group. Sandra started her entrepreneurial journey at a very young age. Hard work and long hours come naturally to Sandra, having spent her childhood waking every morning before dawn to milk cows on her family’s Nebraska farm. That experience prepared her well for the life of an entrepreneur and she opened her first business, a mortgage credit reporting company, in 1989.
Ten years later, an increasing demand from clients for background checks led her to expand into the background screening world. In 2010 she expanded again, adding the subsidiary 4506-Transcripts.com to meet the need of banks and financial institutions to verify income for borrowers through the Internal Revenue Service.
Sandra has built Private Eyes into a global firm, accredited through PBSA and with a team of FCRA Certified Experts. Private Eyes is the exclusive hiring partner for clients in all 50 states and over 200 countries. They help their clients get the best hire by making sure that their candidates have the credentials that are stated with a quality background check, quickly.

In response to this shift, the team at Private Eyes took innovation to the next level, combining their talents and expertise to develop the Hi-tech HR Solution, PEEK – Private Eyes Knowledge Sharing Platform. This proprietary employee screening platform protects Applicants’ information, ensures accurate data reporting for HR Managers, and drastically reduces the turn-around time.

A passionate advocate for entrepreneurship, Sandra shares her expertise with other women business owners through WBENC. She previously served on the WBENC Board and has been an active member of the Board of Directors of WBEC-Pacific for over a decade.
