Founded in January 2005, Rockwell Trading Services LLC was initially an educational company, providing study materials to help people know how to trade the markets. However, a few years ago, Rockwell Trading Services’ founder Markus Heitkoetter realized that traders actually needed tools that could help them find the best stocks to trade to make money consistently. So, Markus and the entire Rockwell Trading team started developing a software named the PowerX Optimizer, specifically designed to help traders make systematic,repeatable, and consistent profits.

The Leader

Educated in Germany, Markus worked for IBM for several years, first as a consultant, then as a project manager, and ultimately as a principal or director. However, he moved to the U.S. in 2002 to become a full-time professional trader, where he started a blog to share his experience as a trader. Soon, the little trading blog turned into something much bigger than he had ever imagined, and over the next 15 years, Markus connected with more than 300,000 traders across the planet.

Tackling Challenges

Markus feels one of the biggest challenges in the trading industry is that customers often want to get rich quick, and they think they can bet $1000 on stock and make $10,000 over the next few days. Sadly, the stock market doesn’t work like that. However, many companies exploit this desire by promising to turn $2000 into $2 million.

“Often, these companies are run by people who are great at marketing and have never placed a trade in their lives before. For us, it is important that our customers know that our products and services are developed by traders for traders and that whatever we teach, we do ourselves. So it’s basically looking over our shoulder and replicating the success that we have as traders.”– says Markus.

Markus suggests young entrepreneurs find a great CEO or Operations Manager, as it is impossible to fill all the shoes of an entrepreneur. It is very important to have the right team members and leadership team who can help the entrepreneur implement his vision and make it a reality.
