Patrick recalls how fortunate he was that at the age of 16, while attending Lakefield College School, his inspirational art teacher, Richard Hayman arranged a trip to see a remarkable Picasso exhibit. Standing before those iconic works for the first time left an indelible mark on him. Absorbing this great artist’s works, which challenged convention and pushed the limits to express a unique perspective and vision, had a profound impact. It was the first time he connected creativity with innovation, which explains how Patrick currently draws parallels between challenging convention in the process of transforming an outdated industry. As we head into the next generation of technology, he sees an urgent need to prioritize the availability of art to inspire the next generations to continue to challenge the status quo.
