Nicole Rodrigues, the self-funded female founder and CEO of NRPR Group, is an applauded visionary and thought leader within the public relations and marketing sectors.
Her dynamic leadership style and relentless dedication to both clients and media have earned her awards and recognition throughout the industry, and her mission to reimagine and redefine the art of public relations is evident in everything her team at NRPR Group touches. Now, as her agency enters its eighth year and the world adapts to our “new normal,” Nicole is more committed than ever to bridging the gap between PR professionals and members of the media through every means and platform possible, including her podcast, PRfect Pitch, and her YouTube Show, Beverly Hills Boss.
In 2020, Nicole wrote and published her first book, Beverly Hills Boss, a business and life skills book aimed at helping those who dream of leading and making a difference in their careers regardless of any/all circumstances, humble beginnings, or obstacles.
When asked about her achievements, Nicole mused, “While my personal successes, alongside those of my team, have been recognized by multiple awards organizations and media outlets over the years, I truly consider having raised my daughter to be an exceptional young woman (now entering her first year at her dream university) as one of my biggest accomplishments in this life.”
She continued, “It was this passion for helping steward the future leaders of tomorrow that inspired me to launch our company’s non-profit arm, The Young Dreamers Foundation, in 2017, through which we mentor and equip city students with the tools, tactics, and role models necessary to thrive throughout their future pursuits, both personally and professionally.”
Glimpse Into NRPR’s Team & Clientele
Founded by Nicole in 2014, NRPR Group is an award-winning, full-service public relations and brand positioning agency based out of Beverly Hills. NRPR serves marquee clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies within the consumer tech, FinTech, MedTech, sports and entertainment, enterprise software, mobile, and consumer products industries. In addition to the best-in-class,multichannel public relations services they offer (including strategic messaging development, brand positioning, marketing communications, digital/social media marketing, influencer, and media relations, and executive thought leadership building), NRPR is now the only PR agency to also offer cutting-edge content creation services through NRPR Productions and end-to-end, pre launch business development strategy and support through NRPR Biz Pro™.
The NRPR team is committed to listening to and empowering the two most important groups they serve – namely, the media and their clients – to meet their needs and create win/win scenarios out of every interaction. The agency has grown significantly over the years and retained inaugural clients while winning new ones due to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of each team member.
Hiccups Along the Way
Like many other entrepreneurial ventures, NRPR Group experienced challenges and growing pains while establishing itself as a substantial, reputable player in the industry. Fortunately, Nicole and her team have never encountered an obstacle they could not overcome. However, unlike many other start-ups, the COVID-19 pandemic presented NRPR (and its clients) with opportunities equal to the challenges it posed. The team faced those challenges head-on and helped clients adapt their brand messaging and offerings to reflect the “new normal,” rather than advising them to stand still or shutter. Throughout 2020 and 2021, they have also served several clients who pivoted their services to offer COVID-19-related solutions (including masks, testing, sanitization, and services/products to ease the return-to-work process) and developed fresh messaging to demonstrate their leadership and global impact.
The Support System Behind Nicole’s Inspiring Journey
Nicole’s journey to becoming a founder, CEO, and business leader began early on in life – and several people helped guide her along that path over the years. Nicole’s first mentor and inspiration was her mother, who raised Nicole and her siblings on her own, yet never wavered in her fierce work ethic or determination to thrive. As the eldest of her siblings, Nicole learned how to lead and nurture strengths naturally while they were all growing up. While in college, one of her professors astutely identified Nicole’s aptitude and passion for communication and recommended she pursue a career in public relations. Over the following two decades, the leading lady worked with/for some of the biggest names in PR and business.
She also has Phillip Alvelda (MOBITV’s then-CEO) and many others to thank for the way they empowered her and for the wisdom they shared with her along the way. She strongly believes she wouldn’t be where (or who) she is today without each of their valuable insights and impact.
A Day in Nicole Rodrigues’ Life
When asked what a typical day in her life looks like, Nicole said, “My routine has changed now that we are working from home. I still wake up at 5:00am to check email and check in with my East Coast staff and clients – but, pre-pandemic, I’d typically squeeze in an intensive workout at OrangeTheory to fire up my energy and output for the day.” She went on to say, “I’m usually on the phone with clients as early as 7:00am, and my team is typically online working full-steam ahead by 8:00am in each respective timezone (unless we’ve all woken up early for an announcement). From there, I’ll continue hammering away until around 7:00pm, when I’ll break for a meal or go for a run. That said, when things get crazy (which they often do in PR), I’ve been known to pull all nighters. To try and balance things out, I enjoy jogging, golfing, and spending time with my daughter.”

Future Roadmap
While talking about her future plans, Nicole asserted, “NRPR Group’s evolution has been (and will continue to be) largely dictated by the needs, goals, and interests of the clients we serve. With those clients in mind, we will continue to grow our reputation, reach, revenue, team, and services portfolio. In addition to our account assistants, coordinators, and executives, NRPR has also scaled out operations, writing, editing, research, and MarComms departments. With our recent launches of NRPR Productions and NRPR Biz Pro, we have also an end-to-end, sustainable, full-service machine. Five or ten years from now, I hope to have helped usher in a new era of public relations – in which publicists and members of the media work together, seamlessly and symbiotically, in tandem for the best possible coverage and impact.”
