Fernando believes, young lawyers do not know how to run businesses, how a businessman thinks, what he wants, what he considers to be important. They do not know what to charge for their services, how to collect, and what is the price and value of their services. There is no to little information about that, which he thinks is a serious tragedy and an incredible disadvantage for any lawyer trying to make it on its own.
When we asked Fernando to share some suggestions for upcoming entrepreneurs, he said, “Sales and collections are the most important thing. You may have the best product; if you can’t sell it you’re done. If you sell it but fail to collect, you’re done.”
