The modern digital age has entirely changed the world. Improvements in technology have led to quick and much more efficient communication, easy access to information, and improved speed in many areas. However, this digital technology could also have long-term side effects on our health.
Several studies have linked high social media usages and consumption to negative social consequences, like difficulty socializing and less face-to-face interaction. It has also been linked to a decline in mental health conditions and an increase in stress and anxiety disorders.
Recently, numerous organizations have studied the blue light that present-day smart gadgets generate. Blue light is a high-energy visible light frequency used in smart devices and LED screens. Researchers say overexposure to this bright blue light lower melatonin levels and compromise sleep quality.
However, the potentially most worrying side effects of the rising usage of digital technology are hardly acknowledged. All of our electronic equipment, including computers, Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, telephones, laptops, and other gadgets, generate invisible electromagnetic waves known as EMF radiation. Most users inadvertently subject themselves to EMF radiation daily, which can eventually result in tremors, memory loss, vertigo, sleep difficulties, loss of focus, and even cancer.
“We looked at the symptoms that toxin exposure could create in the body and developed a range of supplements to combat those effects at the cellular level.”- said Kylen Ribeiro, the CEO and Co-founder of Lightbody, the world’s first digital wellness supplement company. “All of our products enhance a person’s overall wellness, with a specific focus on their digital wellness. We continually formulate and release new products based on the needs of our customers.”
Created and developed by Kylen and her team, Lightbody’s primary mission is to help promote the human body’s resiliency to various toxins, including electromagnetic energy at the cellular level. For over a decade, Lightbody’s founders have worked with biologists, chemists, and supplement formulators to create a wide range of next-generation supplements to help achieve its mission.
Improving Holistic Wellness
Thanks to a holistic wellness background, a collegiate athletic career, and a yoga instructor certification, Kylen was aware of the risks of environmental toxins in our present-day lifestyle. Being a leading executive at a global electronic device shielding company, she understood that technology, with its digital signal emissions, blue light, and over-stimulating media and social app content, can affect people at a cellular level, causing all kinds of adverse health effects.
So, when Kylen became pregnant, she wanted to reduce her toxin exposure as much as possible. “I knew I couldn’t completely eliminate toxins from my environment, so I decided to create dietary supplements to improve the body’s resiliency to toxin exposure. Capitalizing on our professional relationships with biologists, scientists, and formulators, my partners and I successfully established Lightbody.”- She recalls.
The First-Of-Its-Kind Wellness Supplement
As the only digital wellness nutritional supplement company, Lightbody supports the human body by offering an entire range of defense mechanisms from biological impacts caused by prolonged technology exposure and consumption, and against various environmental toxins that can put a human body under stress. Lightbody’s formulations explicitly target body imbalances at the cellular level to promote resiliency from the current toxin-polluted digital world.
Lightbody’s current range includes a Cellular Defense Multivitamin, a Prebiotic & Probiotic Total Gut Health Supplement, a Total Eye Health + Blue Light Defense Supplement, a Total Stress Support Supplement, and pharmaceutical-grade High DHA and EPA Omega-3 Fish Oils.
Accomplishments and Failures
Kylen feels her most significant professional accomplishment is leading the development of Lightbody supplements to enhance digital wellness and help people feel better overall. Personally, raising her two amazing sons, aged 1 and 6, has been her greatest success.
There have been moments in her career when Kylen didn’t speak up when she disagreed with someone in a more senior leadership role than her. However, it turned out that the finest leaders are interested in honest opinions, even when they don’t align with their own. Building her team has been a learning experience and after every poor hiring decision she has made, she has reflected on what kind of red flags she missed or ignored and keeps them in her mind for future hires.
