Karen Mitzo Hilderbrand and Kim Mitzo Thompson are the twins behind Twin Sisters IP, LLC. Karen started her journey as an engineer, and her twin sister Kim was a teacher. Kim wanted to make learning multiplication fun for her students, so both the sisters wrote, sang, and recorded a song named ‘Rap with the Facts’ in 1987, which still streams today. Soon after releasing the song, everyone from parents to teachers wanted to buy it, so both the sisters formed Twin Sisters IP, LLC, and entered the world of business. About five years later, Karen and Kim went on to quit their jobs and work for their organization full time.
Together they have led the organization for more than three decades. Incepted as a record label dedicated to teaching children through music, Twin Sisters IP, LLC. quickly grew its discography to 3300 songs. The organization also invested heavily in a central database named Pub Hub to efficiently distribute its content to hundreds of partners. The main content areas include songs, digital albums, audiobooks, ebooks, videos, teacher resources, sheet music, augmented reality, sound effects, and an art library.
Farsighted Leaders
Armed with her massive experience in Children’s publishing, Karen now serves as the organization’s CEO, while Kim serves as the President of Twin Sisters LLC. Famously known as the Twin Sisters Duo, they have created thousands of products for children, which include more than 3000 songs, 500 digital albums, 160 ebooks, 500 teacher resources, hundreds of books, and 15 apps. Thousands of their products can also be found on Amazon and published by multiple publishers worldwide.
As an experienced industrial engineer, Karen brings skills like warehousing, logistics, distribution, project management, financial, and technical skills to the organization. Her ability to identify various new industry trends has helped Twin Sisters LLC succeed for more than three decades.
On the other hand, Kim graduated from The University of Akron with a Master’s degree in ‘Integrating Arts across the Elementary School Curriculum.’ Her degree in teaching has empowered her to create various inspirational and educational products for children across the planet. Kim’s love for teaching and music has enabled her to create thousands of exceptional products annually.

Twin Sisters LLC has always been focusing on music and making learning a fun experience. Most of its products now contain music or audio as a value add and a way to engage children.
The organization’s customer base contains various music streaming sites like Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and many more. Ebooks sites like EPIC, Hoopla, etc., and video sites like YouTube, also showcase the organization’s product portfolio. On the other hand, physical products are licensed to multiple large publishing houses worldwide.

Preparing for the Future
Both the sisters, Karen and Kim, have always been razor-focused on digital products in music, audiobooks, ebooks, teacher resources, and videos. Additionally, they are planning to launch their first children’s music NFT and a new website this fall.
