Freddy Santos is a dedicated professional with a robust career in business development. He has been the director of business development at VillageCareMAX since 2022. In this role, he connects with community leaders to facilitate service access. He collaborates with home care agencies, clinics, and doctors’ offices to strategize on events and address cultural needs, particularly concerning the elderly.
A passionate advocate for senior health education, Mr. Santos is committed to dispelling misinformation about Medicare and Medicaid. He ensures that seniors are well-informed about the benefits available to them, empowering them to make confident healthcare decisions. As part of his outreach, he visits home care agencies across New York City to assess their operations and determine whether additional support from his professional network is needed to improve the quality and responsibility of patient care at home.
Before his current position, Mr. Santos was the business development manager at VillageCareMAX from 2015 to 2020. During this time, he played a pivotal role in expanding the organization’s reach, significantly increasing the number of members served in the Medicaid program. Mr. Santos’ efforts have positioned VillageCareMAX as one of the three largest managed long-term care plans in New York City.
Mr. Santos’ early career includes his experience as a home health aide coordinator at Attentive Home Health Care from 2014 to 2015, where he coordinated services for clients requiring home health assistance. Before that, he served as an assistant operations coordinator at Velocity Sports Performance from 2013 to 2014, where he honed his skills in operations management. Mr. Santos also holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Bronx Community College, further grounding his professional experience with a strong academic foundation.
Outside his career, Mr. Santos enjoys spending quality time with his child and engaging in community activities. He is a gala committee board member for RAIN Total Care Inc., reflecting his commitment to civic contribution. Mr. Santos is focused on expanding VillageCare’s presence in the Staten Island and Westchester communities. He aims to raise awareness about the organization’s mission to support seniors in remaining safely and comfortably in their homes, reducing the need for institutionalized care.
