Meet Dave Breith, Entrepreneur and gamechanger within the Fire Industry. As a leader and innovator he is spearheading Firexo, offering an incredible new firefighting solution providing exceptional products with exemplary service.
About Firexo
Firexo entered the Fire Industry in 2018, aiming to make the extinguishing of fires less confusing by finding a ONE FITS ALL extinguishing liquid solution whilst being mindful of environmental effects.
When originally presented with this concept, Dave’s goal was to create a confusion limiting product in an arena where every second counts. He set about creating a SINGLE solution with a USP like no other in the Fire Industry, by removing any uncertainty. Firexo now has the capability of reducing the number of extinguishers one needs to choose from and in turn diminishes choice and time required at any point of a fire emergency – ultimately increasing the ability to act quickly.
Retardancy is an important element of Firexo’s uniquely patented solution and helps limit reignition – Dave’s mantra is to achieve “Prevention over Cure” wherever and whenever possible. Also at the heart of Firexo’s NPD is the minimising any potential impact on the environment, something that is core to their values, hence it is made with natural and biodegradable ingredients.
Simplification over Diversification
The company focuses on simplification rather than diversification; its purpose is to remove a need for any confusion at the point of an emergency. The Company mission is simple… To help save lives!
The Company’s objective is to cut through the minefield of fire classes, negating the need to have a different fire extinguisher for each of the six classes of fire, thus enabling any extinguisher user to fight ALL fires fast.
Firexo’s has taken an inclusive approach; listening to and engaging with seasoned Fire Service Providers, Fire Safety Experts, and Security Businesses that have the will and want to understand the Firexo mission. Those who accept and appreciate that the industry has not been disrupted positively for decades, relish the opportunities and solutions Firexo innovation brings to the table and includes JV Distribution partnerships across the globe as well as significant retailers; both bricks & mortar and online.

The culture is one of a family-run business – “We all care!” Firexo cares that this is a sector unchallenged for over 50 years, it cares that each product should be tested within every inch of its life, and cares that its result could prevent excessive fire damage and save at least one life!
Dave looks for passionate individuals, those who are prepared to view things differently, have an entrepreneurial spirit with the desire to succeed and appetite to achieve what others may perceive as impossible or too much hard work.
Challenges leading towards Momentous Strides
Dave has never shied away from any challenge, quite the opposite – his ‘cando’ attitude helps create impetus and focus, providing a great set of rails for all working in the business to align with. He takes a solution-driven approach that enables a blameless culture, providing an arena for employees to work outside their comfort zone, knowing they will have his support and advice.
Blessed with an insatiable hunger for knowledge, Dave attains new information choosing to share it by educating and helping improve or develop products and to assist company growth. Through this challenging time, all team members certainly required a “can do, will do” and “roll your sleeves up” attitude. Dave explains; “Let’s face it, the past couple of years have been anything but ‘normal’. As a company, Firexo continually evaluates, striving to be better through process management, training, and building an internal culture!”
Dave’s approach particularly through the unprecedented COVID-19 period was to make the most of all the business had achieved pre-pandemic. He drew attention to operational aspects that could be developed and improved, regardless of the global status. Constantly assessing both the UK and international positioning, his sights and guidance held strong.
“Whether sales or operational, we are trying to be at the sharp end of identifying opportunity as well as taking swift action so as not to lose traction or waste any time. Firexo will look back at this time with disbelief I am sure of that, and at the magnitude of work accomplished with pride at the results achieved… Leadership and being a CEO through times like this can be hard and lonely, but you have to face situations head-on, making sure that you have, and are seen by your team members to have, continuing energy with drive and motivation to fill your team with confidence, humor, and humility.”
Failures are Lessons in Disguise
Dave doesn’t harp on the past, his focus is always forward and beyond, nor would he refer to them as failings more key learnings. Any honest entrepreneur will tell you that the learnings are more important than the successes themselves; they help facilitate progress.
The truth is he wouldn’t do much differently because that would change everything and likely create different results. Things that have not gone to plan are too numerous to mention and many outside of my, or anyone’s control; although we learn continually from things that go extremely well, this is where it is easy to become complacent; things that don’t work at all provide great insight and things that go wrong can provide better outcomes as a result – this helps keep focus.
Dave’s Words of Wisdom
“Our aim is to be The World Leader of Fire Combat and Prevention – The Hoover of the Fire Industry, where the brand name is used in place of the actual product name. This could certainly be achievable with a unique product/substance that has no direct competition.”
“Everyone knows what a fire extinguisher is; many know that there are multiple types: Powder, Foam, Water, CO2, and Wet chemical. A fair number of people also know that using the wrong one can have disastrous consequences, however, only a few of them know which one should be used on which type fire and especially at the point of an emergency; needing to use only one solution is surely a success for us all!?”
“Obviously there are several new products in development…watch this space! but over and above product, I would look to implement ‘Flexible Working’ as a new business concept; following its proven success throughout the COVID pandemic, this is something I would encourage as a matter of course. I believe that embracing change is important to survive and grow to accommodate the ever-evolving world in which we live.

For Dave, success would be to encompass as much automation as possible to provide increased efficiency; along with a lean, more streamlined operation this would truly represent the simple concept of his unique ALL-IN-ONE product offering.

Dave is easy to approach regardless of job position, he has a generous spirit and his energy is infectious. He
encourages self-development, regularly spending time with all staff members and has an absolute open-door policy. Dave although clear on his view still listens and considers others views and opinions – he never gives up and encourages others to do the same, leading by example.
The Ultimate Vision
Dave’s vision is being the best he can be, to gain recognition for creating the best and to attempt what others deem impossible… ultimately not accepting status quo in order to make it possible.
Dave believes that every leader; whether a sports captain, army officer, or manager/director should lead by example, to embrace being a team player whilst providing direction for the whole team to thrive accordingly. The best piece of advice he has ever been given is: “Never to give up – Never give in!”
