An outstanding entrepreneur with an ardent personality, Fabian David is the Founder of AMZ Savages. He was born in the small city of Slobozia, right near the capital of Romania – Bucharest, and graduated from Romania-American University in 2006.
As cliche as it sounds, Fabian fondly states that he always had entrepreneurial blood running through him. In his professional journey, he has managed multiple businesses successfully giving him a sense of confidence to make his next big move.
He moved in a new direction and started selling on Amazon in 2015.
The Journey to the Forefront
Fabian founded AMZ Savages in 2016 after he had enough time and experience selling on the Amazon platform to realize how cutthroat it could be. Before 2015, Amazon was no different from marketplaces like eBay – one could just throw a few pics up with an offer, and people would buy it. But over the years, those same people had to restructure their selling strategy to keep up with Amazon’s changes and the inundation of new players and products on its platform. So, he decided to take what he learned from selling on Amazon and create a tool to help other sellers.
AMZ Savages became available to the public in 2017. As with any other entrepreneur, Fabian too had a money mindset and wanted his program to be a money-maker. However, he knew he had to solve a problem and also serve a bigger purpose.
He decided to follow his passion and drive to help other sellers fulfill their dreams and live the life entrepreneurs always dream of quality time with family, traveling, providing for their loved ones, and retiring early.
Initially, AMZ Savages was an A-to-Z Product Launch service with several departments that helped new sellers go through all the necessary processes to have a powerful new product launch.
Then in 2019, Fabian realized the most glaring problem his clients faced was (and still is) doing product research. In other words, finding a product that A) doesn’t have too much competition on Amazon and B) is either unique enough or better than their competitors. One can do everything right – go through all the necessary steps flawlessly – but if they have a crappy product, none of the other stuff matters.

The Turning Point
When Fabian started selling on Amazon in 2015, there were no tools available to help sellers make informed decisions about what products to sell and how to allocate capital. There were also no professional mentorships or guidance from other sellers.
Additionally, Fabian recalls failing with his first two products – a bamboo cutting board and a salt & pepper shaker set. He lost a big chunk of money-$50K on these products. He vividly remembers and pauses momentarily, shaking his head and laughing at a joke only Amazon sellers would understand.
After realizing and experiencing the ongoing problems, Fabian knew there was a sorely needed program or mentorship to help others avoid losing their time and money as he did.
“To be fair, there were a lot of software programs out there that helped with product research. The problem was that these programs didn’t account for budgets and funds. That’s really where Amazon sellers get screwed over – they don’t understand/know/think about how much money goes into a product launch. I can’t afford this” because they, say, spent too much money on photography and now have no budget for inspections. That’s a problem,” states Fabian.
The Future Strides
AMZ Savages always looks to improve its processes and tools and put a print on the industry by helping Amazon become a better marketplace.
Obsessive testing is Fabian’s core belief. He and his team at AMZ Savages are a pool of talented and hard-working professionals- who can make it happen.
“We also are looking into branching out to the Walmart space, as that has signified a lot of growth and popularity and likely needs for a service like ours. However, right now we’re more interested in improving our tool over and over again via obsessive testing and a/b testing. We are proud to say we have helped over 900 people set up successful product launches and we intend to get that number much higher in 2023,” concludes Fabian.
